A husband and wife team who found their true calling in disability support.
True North Trusted Supports was founded on a simple belief — that every person deserves support that is honest, caring, and genuinely focused on their goals. We're Kayla and Brad — a husband and wife team, parents to three boys, and two pretty down-to-earth people who aren't afraid of hard work. Behind us is a team of dedicated support workers who share those same values. Together, we're here to make a real difference.
Brad spent 15 years in the butchering industry — a trade that taught him hard work, reliability, and showing up for people every single day. He's never been afraid to roll his sleeves up and get the job done, and that same no-fuss, down-to-earth attitude is exactly what he brings to his support work.
When disability touched his own family, Brad found himself drawn to a completely different kind of work — one where that same work ethic could make a real difference in people's lives. Over the past four years, he has become one of the most sought-after support workers in the Moreton Bay region. Participants and families consistently describe him as patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in the people he supports.
As a dad to three boys, Brad has a natural ability to connect with participants of all ages and abilities — building trust through consistency, a good sense of humour, and genuine warmth.
Brad brings the same dedication and work ethic from his trade career into every shift — showing up on time, doing the job properly, and genuinely caring about the people he's there to support.
"I've never felt more like I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. Seeing someone reach a goal they didn't think was possible — that's everything."
— Brad
Kayla spent over 15 years working in the legal industry — a career that gave her a deep understanding of systems, advocacy, and the importance of fighting for people's rights. But it was her personal connection to disability that ultimately changed her path.
Transitioning into the role of Support Coordinator, Kayla quickly became known for her ability to cut through the complexity of the NDIS and get real outcomes for participants and their families. She saw firsthand how many people were falling through the cracks — not because the system didn't have the funding, but because they didn't have someone truly in their corner.
Away from work, Kayla is a devoted mum to three boys — which means she knows a thing or two about patience, juggling a million things at once, and showing up even on the hard days. She's warm, approachable, and the kind of person who will always give it to you straight.
That's why she co-founded True North. Kayla brings her legal background, her NDIS expertise, and her genuine compassion to every participant she works with — making sure they understand their plan, their rights, and their options.
"I spent years watching people struggle to navigate a system that was supposed to help them. I knew I could do something about that — and True North is how."
— Kayla
We're not a big corporation. We're a husband and wife from the Moreton Bay region — parents to three boys, hard workers, and people who genuinely care. Disability is close to our hearts, and that's exactly why we hold ourselves to a standard of care that we'd want for our own family.
But True North is bigger than just the two of us. We've built a team of dedicated, carefully selected support workers who share our values — people who show up with the same warmth, reliability, and genuine commitment that Kayla and Brad bring every day. We are the face of the business, but our team is the backbone.
We started True North Trusted Supports because we knew we could do this better — with more heart, more honesty, and more genuine commitment to the people we serve. No corporate speak, no cutting corners. Just a real team of people who care deeply about what they do.
We care deeply about every participant we support. This isn't a job to us — it's a calling. We show up with warmth, patience, and a genuine investment in your wellbeing.
We say what we mean and do what we say. You'll always know where you stand with us — no surprises, no hidden agendas, just straightforward, trustworthy support.
Big wins or small steps — we'll be cheering you on the whole way. Every achievement matters and every milestone deserves to be celebrated.
Our goal is to build your capacity, not create dependency. Every step we take together is a step toward your goals and a more independent, fulfilling life.
We'd love to have a conversation about how we can support you or your family member. No pressure, no jargon — just a warm, honest chat.
